Office 2010 Guides and Natural Language Search Commands downloads

Like many other legal organizations, the firm I work for is undergoing an Office 2003 to Office 2010 upgrade now that most of the vendors that make complementary software to allow us to do massive document productions and generate documents for certain jurisdictions are Office 2010 compatible.  One of our trainers found the Office 2010 ribbon guides that are an interactive quick reference that lets you click on “File, View, Header/Fooder” in Word 2003 for instance and then it will tell you where it has been moved to in Word 2010.

The online versions of these guides are somewhat easy to find, but the links on the associated pages point to the home page of the MS Office download site and force you to search for the downloads.  Unless you put in the exact key words to find these guides, they are somewhat difficult to find, so I’ve captured the (current) links to the download pages.

There is also a Microsoft Labs plug-in called Search Commands for Word, Excel and PowerPoint that allows you to type in a natural langauge query such as “Where is the Header” and it will present several options as to which command you were looking for immediately to the right of the search box on the Search Commands ribbon tab.

The links for the various guides and Search Command plug-ins are below:
